
Resident Company - A bank, trust company or holding company permitted to deal
only in local currency. Foreign currency transactions must be approved by the
appropriate regulatory authority.
Retail Buyer - The buyer of a security when it arrives on the secondary (retail)
market.
Re-domiciliation Corporations - Some offshore jurisdictions allow corporations
incorporated in other jurisdictions to reincorporate in their own at will.
Rights Issue - An invitation to existing shareholders to acquire additional
shares in the company in proportion to the number of shares they already own -
usually at a preferential price.
Roll Program - A broker term describing a trade program. The use of the term “roll
program” should be avoided.
